Inventory description: Declaration by Elinor Eckford regarding the transfer of £250 worth of stock to the Official Trustees of Charitable Funds, dated 21 Nov 1914; the dividends were to be remitted to the Commanding Officer and the Adjutant of the 39th (King George’s Own) Regiment Central India Horse, and prizes were to be awarded for tent-rigging, mounted combat, skill at arms and musketry, in memory of the late Capt A B Eckford, who was killed in service with the regiment in Persia, 1912.
