Description
Hook shaped wooden club, 1898 (c); Nilotic (?), close grained wood and oval in section; possibly a Trumbash or war hatchet from the Upper Nile, taken at the Battle of Omdurman, 2nd Sudan War, (1896-1899). Associated with Col (later Maj Gen) Villiers Hatton, Grenadier Guards.
