2nd Punjab Infantry (56th Punjab Rifles) Mess dress jacket of Maj Charles Herbert Villers-Stuart.
Drab coloured mess jacket with black velvet facings. The collar, cuffs and hems, are decorated with gold braid, with Austrian knots above the cuffs. There are plaited gold cord shoulder boards with two goldwork crowns, to both shoulders. The jacket fastens with a hook and eye at the collar, and has gilt metal stud trim to the left centre front.
