18th Prince of Wales Own Tiwana Lancers Mess Dress Jacket of Lt Gen Gwatkin, 1906.
Scarlet mess jacket with white cloth facings, edged with gold lace around the centre front seam, collar, bottom seam and cuffs. Fastens with hooks and eyes. The lower collar is edged with gold gimp braid. There are two regimental buttons on each lower sleeve, and one button on each gold cord epaulette. Both epaulettes feature embroidered crown rank badges of silver thread. The gold lace pointed cuffs are edged with white piping, which extends across the sleeves and rear of the jacket. Two gold olivettes of gold braid decorate the lower back seam.
