Description
Knife with sheath, 1800 (c)-1899 (c). Donor states this as an Ashanti relic, possibly from the Ashanti Wars. Blade is leaf-shape with centre line decorated on both sides with chiselled nicks. Ferrule made of bent iron strip. Fish tail grip bound with leather. Associated with Ashanti Forces, Africa.
