Description
Sudanese kulah khud helmet. Iron; ovoid finial; nasal missing; circumference pierced with numerous holes for attachment of mail avantail. Reputed to have been taken from the palace of Ali Dinar, the Sultan of Darfur in 1916 However, as it is part of the Wolseley Collection it is more likely to have been taken during the Sudan campaigns.
