Description
Goblet, 1874. Silver gilt, made by George Angell, hallmarked London, 1870-1871. Short plain stem, central band has seven cartouches. One inscribed, 'Captn. Sartorius/ ON RETURN FROM/ COMASSIE[sic]/ 3RD APRIL 1874'. Others depict signs of the Zodiac. Acanthus leaves decorate feet. Associated with Capt Reginald William Sartorious and the 6th Regiment of Bengal Cavalry and Kumasi.
