One of two manuscript texts of telegrams (on Sudan Military Telegraphs forms), describing the defeat by Sir Francis Reginald Wingate of the Khalifa at Debel Karat, 1899, which finally extinguished Mahdisim in the Sudan. Associated with 2nd Sudan War (1896-1899).
