Eight manuscript letters written by Capt Neville Cameron, Cameron Highlanders, to his father, during and after the 2nd Sudan Campaign, April 1898- September 1899.
With two letters to his father (Gen Sir William Cameron) from Maj Gen Sir Archibald Hunter (25 Apl 1898) and Capt R G ('Reginald') Brooke (29 May 1898?) on the role of his son and the regiment at Atbara.
Cameron's letters contain full descriptions of Atbara, Omdurman, and the expeditions to Fashoda, with comments on the fighting ability and tactics of the Dervishes.
