Dha sword and scabbard, nd. Pointed, leaf shaped, slightly curved blade. Wooden hilt, bound with plaited rattan rings. Wooden scabbard also with plaited rattan rings. Brought back from Burma War, 1870 by Cdr Arthur Lye RIM. Possibly relating to the Burma War declared 1885, rather than to the Pegu operations of 1852-1853. Brig Gen R C Lye, 34 Sikh Pioneers was also instrumental in retrieving the arms. Associated with 3rd Burma War, (1885-1887).
