Description
Electrotype of the obverse design used for the Ashanti Medal and all subsequent military medals struck by the Royal Mint during the reign of Edward VII, 1905. Silvered copper, mounted in a wooden circular frame. Originally a circular piece of waxed paper was attached to back (now stored separately as 1981-06-16). Associated with 5th Ashanti War (1900-1901).
