Comprising ten letters to his aunts written during the American War of Independence 1775-1781, with his parole as a released Prisoner of War; twenty-five letters to him from Charles Cornwallis 1782-1801, mostly from Dublin; twelve letters from his sons Charles, George, Henry and James describing action in the Napoleonic Wars 1809-1815 and a copy of a drill book in French printed in England, 1801.
