Relating to the court martial and execution for murder of Lt Henry ‘Breaker’ Morant and Lt Peter Hancock, Bushveldt Carbineers, and the imprisonment of Lt George Witton, Bushveldt Carbineers, during the Boer War. Including a petition from members of Bushveldt Carbineers requesting an inquiry into specified incidents, depositions from members of Bushveldt Carbineers, and statistics and depositions made by the Boers in relation to requisitioned livestock and provision. Also including official correspondence relating to the court martial and to the implementation of the death sentence and correspondence relating to compensation claims submitted by the next-of-kin of the murder victims.
