Two letters written to FM Lord Fitzroy Somerset, 1st Baron Raglan, Commander in Chief, 14 March-18 May 1854. One is from Mr Reade, the Vice-Consul at Tangier, and the other is from Mr Hammond at the Foreign Office, enclosing his correspondence with Mr Reade and Mr Maudy. The letters concern Mr Reade's appointment as Vice-Consul. Associated with the Crimean War (1854-1856).
