Description
40 in-letters and copies 14 out-letters, 3 May 1854-27 June 1855. Consisting of correspondence between FM Lord Fitzroy Somerset, 1st Baron Raglan, Commander in Chief, and Omer Pasha, the commander of the Turkish forces on the Danube. Most of the letters are written in French and relate to Raglan's position as Commander-in-Chief of the British forces in Turkey. Associated with the Crimean War (1854-1856).
