Two printed pamphlets of speeches delivered in the House of Commons on 31 Dec 1854 and 12 Dec 1854, by Austen Henry Layard (MP for Aylesbury) relating to foreign affairs in Turkey and Russia. From a group of letters, pamphlets, papers and photographs associated with the Crimean War. Layard's younger brother, Arthur, a Captain of the 38th (1st Staffordshire) Regiment of Foot served in the Crimea and died of disease on 7 August 1855.
