The 93rd (Highland) Regiment of Foot are shown being rowed out in small boats to the modern steamship the SS Himalaya, commandeered from the Orient and India Line by the government. Larger and faster than many of the ships used to transport the expeditionary force, the SS Himalaya conveyed the entire regiment to the Bosphorus in under two weeks.
