Typescript memoir of Quartermaster Cornelius McCarthy, 1830-1878. Recording his service as a private and non-commissioned officer with 3rd (The East Kent) Regiment of Foot (The Buffs) from 1846-1855, his appointment as Quartermaster in the 44th Regiment during 1855-1875 and the 107th Regiment 1875-1878. McCarthy served in the Crimean War (1854-1856), the Indian Mutiny (1857-1859) and the 2nd China War (1856-1860).
