Manuscript letter by John Drinkwater Bethune, dated Leamington 30 Oct 1839. In which he bequethes to his sister the medal struck by Gen William Picton to commemorate the defeat of the Spanish Battering Ships attacking Gibraltar in 1782, which had belonged to his son Edward Drinkwater Bethune. Associated with Gibraltar Medal and Picton Medal for Gibraltar and the Siege of Gibraltar (1779-1783).
