Thirteen manuscript letters. Relating to the service of Capt William Douglas Bunbury in the Intelligence Department and commanding a Police Battalion in Oudh 1857-858. Including a letter from Sir James Hope Grant to Sir Edward Robert Wetherall, November 1858; 6 letters to Bunbury from Sir James Outram, March 1858- April 1859; a letter from the India Office thanking him for his work in the Mutiny, July 1860; and a testimonial by Wetherall, May 1861. Associated with the Indian Mutiny (1857-1859).
