Lock of horse hair, nd. Reputedly from the horse on which Col Brownlow escaped at the Indian Mutiny, 1857. Mounted on a circular section of card with handwritten annotation, 'Hair of horse/ on which Colonel/ Brownlow escaped/ at the mutiny/ 1857'. Associated with the Indian Mutiny (1857-1859).
