Bound manuscript volume, a journal in Kikuyu (formerly believed to have been possibly written in Swahili - notes inside state it is in Kikuyu), found in Macaria Kimemna’s camp in the Tugela River Valley, Kenya in November 1955. The camp was raided by British forces and two terrorists killed, one being General Karioke; a photocopied picture of his body accompanies the volume. A note gives details of the raid and follow-up operations; said to be a record of the proceedings of the Mau Mau ‘Parliament’.
