Press cutting from ‘The Dragon’, the journal of The Buffs Regiment, November 1952. Reproduces a letter written by Pte James Wright, 1st Bn 3rd (The East Kent) Regiment of Foot (The Buffs) to his mother, 2 Aug 1817. Letter was written at St Omer, France, where Pte Wright was presumably in the Army of Occupation after Waterloo. Letter concerns the cost of food at camp, the weather and family news.
