Description
British cuirass breast plate, 1815-1817 (c). Said to have been retrieved from the battlefield of Waterloo, the day after, by George Clarke. Possibly later piece, Royal Horse Guards, 1817 (c). Brass rivets; pronounced outward profile of keel; brass shoulder belt studs; pronounced channel moulding at neck.
