Description
Printed handkerchief entitled 'The Battle of Waterloo', 1815 (c). White cotton printed in red, spiral twist border. In the centre is a plan of the battle surronded by vignettes of the battle (cavalry in action), the 'observatories' (observation towers) of Napoleon and the Prince of Orange, the village and church of Waterloo and the capture of Bonaparte's coach.
