Description
1st (or Royal) Regiment of Foot Medal for Gallantry 1812. Silver medal awarded to Pte John Frederick Miller for distinguished service at the siege of Badajoz, 1812. Pte Miller, who was born in Germany, served with the Argyll Fencibles before joining the 1st Regiment of Foot. He served with the regiment from 1805-1815 and survived to claim the Military General Service Medal with 3 clasps.
