Photocopy of Statement of Home and Foreign Services of Surgeon J A Stansford. Stansford accompanied Lord Cathcart’s expedition to Hanover 1805, he was present at the capture of Madeira, served with the Army in Spain and under the Duke of Wellington in the Peninsular War.
Stansford also served in Gibraltar, North America, Belgium and France, 1802 -1824 (c).
