Coatee, short-tailed, undress, 43rd (or the Monmouthshire) Regiment of Foot (Light Infantry), worn by Gen Sir William Napier, 1816 (c). Scarlet with white facings. Officer's coatee c1816 worn by General Sir William Napier who served with the regiment as a captain, major and lieutenant-colonel 1804-1819.
