Description
Smoothbore percussion trade musket, 1880 (c). Associated with Trooper W T Wilkins, British South African Police, and the Jameson Raid (1895-1896). Made by V and R Blakemore from redundant British Army furniture. Used in South Africa as a trade gun using old British Percussion locks, possibly ex-East India Government models.
