Unfinished letter from Cpl W E Rollings, Army Service Corps, attached 94th Regiment, to his family from Sekukuni's Farm, 29 Nov 1879.
Letter describes the fight for the Water Kopje and expresses disgust at a massacre perpetrated by Britain's native levies which Rollings expects will be, 'hushed up'.
Rollings was killed at Bronkhorstspruit in 1880 and an annotation possibly suggests that the letter was not received by the family until 1909.
Written during the Sekukuni Campaign (1878-1879).
