Scarlet with green facings. Nine large gilt metal buttons down centre front. All the buttons bear the following design: the star of the Order of the Garter (Coldstream Guards button). On the left breast, two unidentified medal ribbons, one of red, white and green bands of equal width. The other, light blue with a narrow central white stripe. (Probably revolutionary commemoration medals). 
Associated with the Wars of Italian Unification (1848-1860).
