Manuscript order book, 4 Sep 1797 - 26 Aug 1798. Kept for Maj Gilpin's Company of the Bedfordshire Militia whilst stationed at Eastbourne, Lewes, Westerham and Hastings and containing copies of General and Regimental Orders as well as some letters to the Commanding Officer of the Regiment. Associated with the Wars of the French Revolution, Home Defence (1793-1802).
