Description
Officers’ shoulder belt plate, Suffolk Yeomanry, 1794-1801. Silver plated copper. Upon a burnished ground, engraved design of the embellished royal cypher ‘GR3’ below a monarchial crown. Reverse bears a hook at top and two studs at base. oval shoulder belt plate inscribed, ‘SUFFOLK/ YEOMRY’ with a ‘GR’ monogram below and a crown above.
