Description
Officer’s shoulder belt plate, unidentified Irish Voluntary Cavalry, possibly Armagh, 1796. White metal oval shoulder belt plate inscribed on ribbon around the edge, ‘FOR OUR KING/ AND COUNTRY’, in the centre is a harp surmounted by a crown and inscribed, ‘A / C’ to the sides and ‘1796’ below.
