Two handled silver gilt trophy cup on octagonal plinth of ebonised wood, 1893-1916. Silver, hallmarked London, by F B Thomas and Company, 153 New Bond Street, 1893. With lid. Cup and lid engraved with bird and motto; inscribed on base; Presented to Lt Col H D Hirst commanding the 3rd Bn, The Buffs (East Kent Regiment) on the occasion of his marriage 17th Oct 1916 by some of the officers who served under him. From the collection of the former Buffs Regimental Museum.
