Description
Identity disc; Capt Allastair Malcolm Cluny McReady-Diarmid VC, 17th (Service) Bn, The Duke of Cambridge’s Own (Middlesex Regiment) 1914 (c). The green identity disc was introduced in 1916 and was suspended below the red disc. In the event of a soldier being killed the green disc would be removed, with the red disc staying on the body. This disc was returned to his widow by his Regiment.
