Description
Letter from 23207 L/Cpl Frank Bentley, 2nd Bn Grenadier Guards, to his brother Cpl Arthur Bentley, Royal Army Medical Corps. Written from the Guards Depot, White City, London, and postmarked 12 Mar 1915. Describing the after effects of Swedish drill; he expects to be sent to ‘Katrum’ (Caterham) to finish his training. Frank Bentley was killed in action at Gauche Wood, near Gouzeaucourt, 1 Dec 1917; his name appears on the Cambrai Memorial, Louveral.
