Description
Extracts from Lt Henry Curtis Gallup's letters of 17 Mar-13 Sep 1915. The letters describe his voyage from Bombay to Mesopotamia, which he reached towards the end of March, his travels through Kurnah, Nehret, Basra, and Amarah and the fighting that took place, and his hospitalisation on 7 August with a fever and 5 September with jaundice. Associated with World War One, Mesopotamia (1914-1918).
