Letter from Capt Victor Allen to Miss Cross, the daughter of Pte Price’s employer, 27 Aug 1916.
The letter explains that Pte Price was wounded on the night of 13-14 Jul 1916 at the Battle of Trones Wood, that he was taken by stretcher bearers to a casualty clearing station where he died the next day, 14 Jul 1916.

Price is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France.
