Silk scarf, 1916 (c). Belonged to RCM Jane Caple or Gnr Robert Caple. Manufacturer unknown. Printed with the text and music of the song, ‘It’s a long way to Tipperary’. With a sheet of the music printed in the centre, and underneath a parade of soldiers, around the edges are flags and clasps with a line of clover leaves. Associated with World War One, Western Front.
