Tape one of three oral history cassettes of an interview with Capt Frank Luxa MC, 2nd Bn York and Lancaster Regiment, relating to his service with 84 Chindit Column in Burma during Operation Thursday, April to September 1944. Interviewed by Dr A Massie, 2 Aug 2001. Account describes the preparation and training of Chindit troops, the difficult operating conditions and the nature of the fighting with the Japanese. The interview is best understood when studied in conjunction with Capt Luxa's photograph album. Associated with World War Two, Far East (1941-1945).
