Cd rom: Text and Additional Material for The Sinking of the Derrycunihy.
Written by Fred Sylvester.
The 'Derrycunihy' was a standard 5-hold transport ship, which in the spring of 1944 took the 43rd Reconnaissance Regiment, equipment, and vehicles over to Sword Beach, Normandy.
On 24 Jun 1944 the 'Derrycunihy' was ordered to move to Juno Beach, but as the engines started an undetected 'oyster' mine blew the ship in two, resulting in the loss of nearly 200 lives.
