Manuscript inscription verso: ‘November 1939. When it was planned to make the Bombay Grenadiers into Motor Battalions the first training vehicle was delivered to 1st Bn/ 4th Bombay Grenadiers at Midnapore, Bengal, a stripped-down Albion chassis which had to be push started. Driver is Lt A H Dunlop 1st/4th’.
