Tabard, heralds’, Viceroy’s Staff, 1877 (c). Crimson, blue, gold satin, damask and silk. Worn by one of the heralds at the Imperial Assemblage in Delhi on 1 Jan 1877, at which Queen Victoria was proclaimed Empress of India.
