Description
Tray, 1855. Silver, produced by E and Company, hallmarked Birmingham, 1856-1857. Circular, upon three relief decorated scrolled edge feet, the centre of the salver is plain with inscription: 'PRESENTED/ TO/ THE MESS 8TH REGT. N.I./ BY/ Lieut: Colonel Le Grand Jacob/ CURRACHEE/ OCTOBER 1855' within a roundel. Associated with the 8th Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry and Karachi.
