Description
Waterbottle or saddle flask, 1890 (c); white metal, cylindrical in shape with a long conical neck tapering to the spout; spout is silver plated with a hinged revolving ball locking cap; the underside of the bottle is inscribed, ‘P [trumpet and banner] JAMES DIXON & SONS SHEFFIELD 050A 1’; a plain beaker fits over the lower part of the body; owned by Jam Shed Kaikobad, 6th Bombay Cavalry.
