Description
Officer's shoulder belt plate, Walton and Lullington Volunteers, Derbyshire, 1804-1808 White metal design mounted on an oval gilt copper plate having an incised foliate border. The monogrammed initials, 'WLV', below which are a pair of crossed standards upon staves tied at the centre with a bow, each standard bearing the Cross of St George at the head, within an incised shield shaped border. The reverse bears a single hook fitting at the top and two studs at the base.
