Coffin plate, 1843 (c); made of lead and inscribed to Sir John Fraser, Colonel of the Royal York Rangers, 1760-1843; the coffin plate and some bones were found during the work to repair stress fractures in the vault of St Barnabas Church, West Kensington, London, 8 to 19 July 1991; Fraser served in the defence of Gibraltar, 1780-1782, where he lost his right leg; he died at Campden Hill, Kensington in 1843.
