Officer's shoulder belt plate, Worcestershire Militia, 1845 (c)

Rectangular gilt copper plate bearing the following design: upon the centre of an eight-pointed, silver, multi-rayed, faceted star a frosted gilt metal Garter with burnished edges bearing the Garter motto.
Within the Garter a silver representation of a tower of Worcester Castle upon a silver ground.
Above the Garter is a gilt monarchial crown.
Below the Garter a frosted gilt metal scroll with raised burnished edges bearing the title, 'Worcester'.
Central device attached to plate by means of brass loops and three brass pins.
In each upper corner a copper hook and in each lower corner a copper stud fitting.
