Photocopy of a manuscript diary of Capt Paul Treby kept during his service in the 1st Devon Militia, 1806-1814.
Containing details (including mileages) of the marches around England which the unit performed, with comments on the towns that they stayed in.
He did several periods of duty on prison ships, and at the end of the volume listed the officers of the regiment on its disbandment in 1814 and recorded the daily guard duties at several of the places where they were stationed.
